I recently set out to reboot my entire wardrobe and at the core of that wardrobe are pants, more specifically, jeans. That’s right, stretchy, skinny, bootcut, low rise, super low rise, rock star, cigarette, light wash, dark wash, distressed, etc. Whatever you prefer, pants are at the very core of your wardrobe.
I came across American Eagle jeans just recently, I must admit I did not believe they would fit me properly. I am petite, but I have wide hips and curves. So initially, I only set out to find a chino pant. Chino pants can be worn casually and are perfect for a semi-casual look. You can shop a similar style below.
Giddy with excitement about the fit, I then grabbed a pair of black hi-rise jeggings and tried them on as well. They fit like a glove, and you can never have too many pairs of black jeans! After finding my perfect fit in a snug 6, I grabbed a pair of their dark wash denim as the final test. Dark wash denim is pertinent for day to night casual looks. Invest in a good pair. All of the jeans I purchased are a wonderful quality denim and the chino pants fit smartly and don’t leave extra room at my waist. I did not purchase any of the light wash denim and plan to return to their wall of great fitting jeans. The jeans I bought are super stretch and jegging type material, I don’t own any jeans that aren’t due to my shape. Dark wash denim is my favorite and I prefer it to any other wash when I’m getting dressed quickly. What are some of your fave style jeans?
